11th March 2025

If you’re dreaming of a festival wedding – one filled with relaxed vibes, incredible outdoor spaces, and plenty of opportunity to make it your own, you’ll need the perfect venue. Whether you’re after a woodland wonderland, a lakeside retreat, or a stunning meadow with a view, the UK has some truly breathtaking locations to bring your festival wedding dreams to life. I’ve put together below my top picks for the Best Festival Wedding Venues in the UK.

As a wedding photographer (and festival wedding expert!) I’ve been lucky enough to capture some incredible celebrations at these venues. Also we had a festival style wedding ourselves, so I feel I have a lot of knowledge to share. Here are my top picks for the best festival wedding venues in the UK:

1. The Dreys, Kent

Nestled in an idyllic woodland, The Dreys is a dream festival wedding venue. It has all the festival vibes – a canopy of trees, dappled sunlight and an enchanting outdoor setting, however it’s not a complete blank canvas. Which is great as it means you won’t have to do absolutely everything yourself. The permanent marquee provides a stunning reception space, and the wonderful on-site team help ensure everything runs smoothly. It’s the perfect balance of flexibility and convenience. I’ve been lucky to work here quite a few times and I’m always in awe at the sheer beauty. Check out Julia and Jordan’s wedding from The Dreys here!

2. Wildwood Bluebell, Cotswolds

For a truly magical setting, Wildwood Bluebell in the Cotswolds is hard to beat. This picturesque woodland transforms into a carpet of bluebells in the spring creating the most breathtaking backdrop. The venue includes access to a charming Cotswolds style barn house for getting ready. If you love the idea of exchanging vows in a fairytale woodland, this may is the venue for you. Check out Lucy and Gary’s festival weekender at Wildwood Bluebell here.

3. Wilderness Wedding Venue, Kent

Wilderness Wedding Venue offers couples the best of both worlds: a beautiful outdoor setting with plenty already in place to make planning easier. Additionally, a rustic wooden bar and tipi are permanently set up, so you don’t have to start from scratch. Wilderness also has breathtaking sunsets over the meadow and the opportunity to hold your ceremony by a lake.

4. Greenhill Farm, Kent

A family-run farm in the charming village of Otham, Greenhill Farm is a stunning venue surrounded by nature. You have full creative control over your setup, whether you choose a marquee, tipi, or yurt in their scenic field. Additionally the venue also features a gorgeous woodland area for your ceremony and a stunning lake. You can watch the horses grazing across the lake and it’s so tranquil. 5. Tournerbury Woods Estate, Hampshire

For couples seeking a festival wedding venue with a mix of woodland charm and coastal beauty, Tournerbury Woods Estate is a fantastic option. Situated on Hayling Island in Hampshire, this private estate offers stunning natural surroundings on the seaside. It has plenty of space for a tipi or marquee, making it perfect for a relaxed, outdoor wedding.

6. Bantham Bash Field, Devon

If you’ve ever dreamed of a festival wedding by the sea, Bantham Bash Field is a venue you’ll love. This stunning spot overlooks Thurlestone Bay, offering breathtaking coastal views. It’s a true blank canvas, meaning you can bring in all the elements that make a festival wedding uniquely yours. I was lucky enough to photograph Tamsin and Ollie’s wedding here, and the atmosphere was just incredible. Think rolling fields, sea views, and a completely chilled-out festival vibe.

8. Browning Bros, Essex

For couples looking to host a festival wedding in Essex, Browning Bros offers two incredible venues: Teybrook Orchard and Chalkney Meadows. Both venues come with everything you need for a seamless experience, including a tipi, an on-site coordinator, mains water and power. Because these venues have everything already in house, they’re perfect for couples who want the festival aesthetic but with the convenience of having key facilities already in place.

9. Enchanted Garden Weddings, Hertfordshire

Between Hitchin and Letchworth, you’ll find the stunning Enchanted Garden Weddings. This is a rustic and magical outdoor space where you can truly make your own. Especially as you choose a yurt, tipi, or marquee, this venue provides a blank canvas with an incredible backdrop. One of its standout features is the woodland ceremony space, which is licensed for marriages, offering a beautifully intimate and natural space.

I’ve been lucky enough to work at Two Woods a few times and it makes my jaw drop every single time still. Check out Fiona and Rich’s Two Woods Estate wedding here.
