Jess and Ben had the most beautiful and relaxed woodland wedding at Greenhill Farm in Kent. I was beyond honoured that they asked me to capture it for them! Greenhill Farm in Otham, Kent is such a picturesque wedding venue. With a gorgeous woodland enclosure where you can have your wedding ceremony, as well as a stunning lake overlooking horses and ducks where you can put up a marquee or tipi. There are also the most lovely views out to the rolling hills!
Both Jess and Ben got ready at the same hotel which meant I could pop along to see them both. Jess was getting ready with her bridesmaids and Mum and we had a super relaxed morning. Her hair was done by Katie Crabb and make up being done by Kate Waller. The girls had made Jess a little book with lots of photos through the years, with lots of lovely messages. Meanwhile the boys were getting suited and booted along with a cheeky glass of whiskey to calm the nerves!
Walking down the aisle to commence their beautiful woodland wedding at Greenhill Farm
Jess looked absolutely stunning and I loved her dress which was from Victoria’s Bridal Boutique. It was such a sweet moment when Jess’ Dad came in and saw her in her dress for the first time! I then headed to Greenhill Farm and it was turning into a beautiful day. It was pretty hot and the sun was shining. The woodland area looked so amazing and all of Jess and Ben’s family were totally wowed by the venue!
Ben turned around and looked as Jess came down the aisle with her Dad surrounded by all the trees. It was so special! Jess and Ben were so smiley and happy saying their vows and we had some beautiful music played by wedding guitarist Alan Oliver while they signed the paperwork. The ceremony was beautiful and intimate – like we were in a world of our own.
Their beautiful tipi
Jess and Ben had supplied a brilliant amount of confetti. It was so much fun to shower and cheer them as they left the woodland area. Everyone took a walk through the trees, past the lake and to the tipi for drinks and canapés. The tipi by Holmsted Events looked incredible, with all the pretty flowers from JoJo Blooms and Sue Davies Flowers. Jess made all the table decorations herself – she had embroidered countered onto hoops as Jess and Ben love to travel. Over on one side of the tipi was a yummy naked cake by Corinne’s Cake Creations. And beautiful rustic furniture had been supplied by the amazing guys at The Little Wedding Warehouse. I absolutely love a tipi wedding, and everything looked simply amazing!
Canapés and catch ups
Everyone had a great time at the drinks reception! Some people sat on deck chairs and overlooking the lake watching the ducks – loved it! There were buckets of ice cold Peroni and hay bales for everyone to relax on. And after a few delicious canapes and catch ups with friends, we took group photos with family and friends. While everyone sat for dinner, we nipped off for a quick 10 minute stroll around Greenhill Farm to get some photos of just the two of them.
The canapes and dinner were all served by the wonderful caterers Leave it to Us. After food, we had some really lovely speeches which were moving, funny and everyone enjoyed listening so much and I also really loved hearing more about Jess and Ben’s journey so far together.

It was such a gorgeous evening so everyone took their drinks outside to bask in the sun as Jess and Ben’s evening guests arrived. It was such a lovely atmosphere! I really love this time in the evening, after the formalities and everyone gets ready to party. Fire pits were lit and the epic Rare Groove Party band got ready to kick off the first dance. We also got the most incredible sunset, so we had a quick walk around Greenhill Farm to take a few photos and we also got a hello from one of the beautiful horses while in the fields!
How low can you go…time to Limbo
We headed back in and wow what a party it was. I had such a great time. Limbo at a wedding is always a good idea! Jess and Ben on peoples shoulders and swung about – it was brilliant fun! I want to say a big thank you to Jess and Ben for trusting me to capture their wedding day, it was truly epic!
