Hellooo, I’m Laura!

Hellooo! I’m Laura and I live in Kent, just on the cusp of South East London with my dog Holly. Holly is the cutest big ball of golden fur, loves cuddles and will literally do anything for a bit of cheese.

There’s nothing I love more than wearing snuggly jumpers and curling up watching some films on Netflix. You can guarantee I’m usually binge watching something and some of my fave shows, to mention a few are The US Office, Breaking Bad, It’s Always Sunny, Sherlock, Parks and Rec and ok I’ll fess up – I may have a bit of a guilty pleasure for anything vampire TV related, Buffy and the Vampire Diaries are my go to!

I live for holidays and I love travelling. My favorite past time is browsing Airbnb, finding cute treehouses and cool apartments. It normally results in me getting way too excited and my friends telling me to calm down and stop impulsively booking trips away. The number one place on my bucket list to visit is New Zealand and naturally I’m a huge Lord of the Rings fan! Yep, I can admit I’m a little bit of a major geek. I have a Harry Potter tattoo and I also plan on getting a LOTR one in the near future!

In my spare time you’ll find me at the pub with friends, on walks with Holly or making to do lists of some kind (I’m an obsessive list maker but I kinda love it).  I’m a party planner and a hostess at heart, my house was always the party house during sixth form (thanks again Mum). Nothing has changed since then and now I have my own place I’m still the host! I love festivals and a good ol’ party and I think that’s why I love being a part of weddings so much. I love to meet new people, make new friends and be part of an amazing event.

Being able to photograph weddings and getting to be part of a couples’ special day really does make my heart go boom. If you think I might be the right person to capture your day, I’d love to hear from you!

  • Morning all. I feel I can’t post on Instagram acting like things are normal without addressing the dreaded C-word. First off, I hope you’re all taking care of yourselves and I’m absolutely gutted for any of you planning a wedding having to deal with any added stress - it’s so rubbish because that just isn’t what the build up to your wedding should be like. I’m absolutely here for you if you need anything, or if there’s anything I can do to help you in this uncertain and unprecedented situation.

If you’re wanting or needing to postpone your wedding, I’ll happily work together with you and your other suppliers to find a suitable date for everyone and pass your deposit over to the new date. Please check in with me if you’re planning to do this and we can all work together.

This is such a strange and uncertain time to be living in, and I hope you’re all taking care of yourselves. I’ve sent out an email to couples getting married in the next three months with further info and if you want to discuss further, have a chat or if you just need a vent. I’m always at the other end of an email or a phonecall. If you’re getting married later on in the year and want to chat, then please just get in touch. Sending you all a massive virtual hug ❤️

  • Waheyyyy, it’s the end of January! 🙌🏼 I thought it would be a perfect time to post my 2019 end of year round up post over on my blog! This took a while... I went through all my weddings from the last year and chose some of my favourite photos I took. Please grab a cuppa and do check it out, link in bio ❤️
  • 💘⚡️ Throwing it back to a couple of years ago hanging out at @godsownjunkyard with Lucy and Gary for their engagement shoot!

I’m currently organising lots of pre-wedding shoots with all my 2020 couples and I’m so excited! I usually leave it up to you to decide where you’d like to take photos, but it could literally be anywhere! I’ve done pre-wedding shoots on the beach, in some beautiful parks and woodland areas, people’s homes, a favourite area of yours to hang out in, it could literally be anywhere... in Lucy and Gary’s case we headed to Walthamstow where they used to live and visited this incredible neon museum! 🌈

Normally the whole thing takes 1-2 hours and we meet up for some brunch or a coffee (or something stronger!) first and then do 30 minutes of photos together. It can be a little nerve racking but I promise it’ll be totally worth it! 🥳

2019: My favourite…

Wow 2019, that went by in a flash hey? What an *AMAZING* year though! I had weddings which featured bucking broncos, bride’s playing guitars, cricket matches, smoke bombs, ceilidhs, silent discos, rainbow capes and dogs with bow ties… but most importantly, I had the most  awesome couples who I’ve enjoyed getting to know so so much…
