Emily and Harry had the most gorgeous Spring wedding at Hayne House wedding venue in Kent. It was an absolutely beautiful day. It was my first time at Hayne House and hopefully not my last – the surroundings are gorgeous and with it being May, the wisteria was out in full bloom around the main house. Emily got ready with her Mum and bridesmaids, with hair and make-up being done by Sarah Rumsey Make Up and Nicola Marie Make Up. It was such a warm day and a lot of the morning was spent basking out in the sunshine whilst chatting and practising dance moves!
Emily really did look so stunning! The girls and also Emily’s Dad reaction to seeing her in her dress for the first time was so swee.! It was then time to walk down the aisle, and I loved that Harry looked round and took it all in as the bridesmaids walked down, and then lastly getting to see Emily walk down. Emily & Harrys gorgeous spring wedding ceremony was outdoors and was really wonderful to witness. Emily and Harry couldn’t stop smiling the whole time! They had some lovely readings and then walked back down the aisle straight into a big confetti tunnel!
Laughs and smiles
I absolutely loved photographing Emily and Harry’s drinks reception. There were so many nice moments to capture – SO many hugs, lots of laughing and smiling. These are the moments I love as a photographer. I always say the drinks reception is a great time to capture lots of nice moments of you and your guests. We took some group photos with families and friends and I especially love the ones of Emily and her bridesmaids. The bridesmaids were wearing different shades of pink, in both dresses and jumpsuits (I love jumpsuits on bridesmaids!) and the flowers by Blooms and Candy were so unbelievably pretty.
While guests were sitting for dinner, we had a quick walk around Hayne House for photos. It was also nice for Emily and Harry to have a little bit of time alone. The room at Hayne House was decorated beautifully. There were flowers dotted all around and the stunning rustic tables were supplied by The Little Wedding Warehouse.
Wedding cake and speeches
I really loved that Emily and Harry chose to do their cake cut as they entered the room. It was such a fun moment as everyone was going mad and cheering them like crazy! Scott Anderson Catering supplied dinner and it was delicious. I’ve had the pleasure to work with these guys a few times and their food is so so delicious. After dinner, we had a big variety of speeches, from Emily’s dad to one of her Bridesmaids, plus Harry and his Best Man. Speeches are definitely one of my favourite parts of the day to photograph. There are so many emotions and Emily and Harry’s were a real mix of hilarious stories alongside some really sweet moments.
Gorgeous Spring wedding at golden hour
We were so lucky with the weather and managed to get the most amazing golden hour photos. I think these are some of my favourite shots from the day! After the photos we headed back for the party to kick off with the awesome band Happy Hour. It’s safe to say that everyone was ready to party. The ties came off and the sunglasses went on.
I found it really hard to say goodbye and leave as it was just so much fun! What better way to round off an epic day than picking up a pizza for the drive home from The Pizza Post. Sooooo good. Thank you Emily and Harry for asking me to capture your wedding, it truly was the most amazing and fun day!
