I’ve been so excited to share Danni and Jack’s beautiful woodland wedding at Wilderness Wedding Venue in Kent! Danni and Jack are such lovely people – for the pre-wedding shoot they very kindly invited me to their house for a catch up and also cooked me pizza on their Ooni oven (and in turn, totally influenced me to get my own Ooni pizza oven – if you haven’t got one yet, DO IT! You won’t regret it). They are such a lovely couple and I knew their wedding was going to be exactly what I love – super relaxed, fun and very outdoorsy!

From the Bride & Groom…
Here’s what Danni and Jack had to say:
“Thank you so much for all our photos and the slideshow, we absolutely love them all! You’ve captured all the emotion and excitement of the day so perfectly!
We loved seeing all the little extras like shots of the favours, venue, and the pizza van! The Ceilidh pictures are also so fantastic! Thank you so much for getting stuck in!
The sunset photos are so incredible! Thank you so much for getting such great photos of just the two of us, giving us that time together in the midst of the wedding day busyness, but also not keeping us from our guests for too long, it was such a great balance.”

Saying I Do a their woodland wedding
Danni got ready in Canterbury with her family and friend. I spent a couple of hours photographing her and the girls getting their hair done by Kirsten and make-up done by Becky Downton. I then headed over to the venue a bit early to capture Jack greeting all their guests. This was a really lovely moment as I remember Danni and Jack saying they hadn’t seen a lot of people or got to hang out properly since before covid. I also fell totally in love with Wilderness Wedding Venue – what a place! It is immersed in nature and it felt like we were the only people around for miles.
It was a really special moment when Danni came down the aisle and the whole ceremony was just really beautiful to be a part of. There were also a lot of happy tears just after! We then all saw Danni and Jack out of the tent with a big load of confetti and lots of cheers. I really love those confetti photos!

The Tipi and the bar at Danni and Jack’s Woodland wedding
The tipi at Wilderness Wedding Venue looked so pretty and rustic and I love that Danni and Jack opted for Colin the Caterpillar cakes from Marks and Spencer. All of the stunning flowers including Danni’s bouquet were by florist Emily and Me. I absolutely love sunflowers and love that Danni had them in her bouquet too. I also loved the big wooden outdoor bar at the venue, it looks so cool!

Dinner was a delicious BBQ, with chicken, steak, potatoes and salad – literal chefs kiss! For the speeches Danni and Jack got up together and did a joint one which I loved! We were very lucky to get the most glorious sunset and golden hour! Soooo gorgeous. We took a short stroll around Wilderness into the fields before heading back for the evening.
Danni and Jack didn’t have a first dance but instead chose to kick the party off with a ceilidh, which I am all for as I absolutely love ceilidhs. They’re 100% worth getting my feet crushed for! After lots of sweating with the ceilidh (it really is like doing a workout) it was time to head home. But not without grabbing a slice of pizza (or three) from Wilfie’s Pizza. Thank you so much Danni and Jack for asking me to photograph your wedding, it was a true honour!
