It was such a huge pleasure to capture Lauren and Luke’s Bohemian chic wedding wedding at Lynsted Park in Kent. Lauren and Luke knew they wanted a super relaxed day, having a big party with their loved ones, plus they loved Glastonbury and knew they wanted live music and Lynsted Park was a perfect place to do it all.
Advise from a bride for a Bohemian chic wedding
Here’s one of Lauren’s biggest pieces of advice as well when planning your own wedding – “DO YOU! Ultimately, it’s your day. So if there’s something you want but you’re worried to upset any family or guests, then I say do it anyway. If you want a BBQ for your wedding breakfast then go for it! Don’t feel like you have to invite guests just because you went to their wedding or you work with them. It’s your day that you will remember forever, so you’re in charge.” Wise words for sure!
Bohemian chic wedding dress and flower crowns
I arrived bright and early to capture Lauren getting ready at the venue and she looked absolutely gorgeous in her dress from Monsoon, which I love. Lauren also wore a flower crown from Hidden Botanics which looked beautiful with her hair done by the lovely Soph at Sophistic Hair. The stunning flowers were by Moody Blooms – I couldn’t stop staring at these all day. So beautiful! I really liked the bridesmaids dresses in the muted pastel lilac colour too, I feel like I don’t see lilac that often for bridesmaids – they all looked stunning and the dresses were from ASOS.
Outdoor wedding ceremony and a tipi tent
I really cannot get over how beautiful Lynsted Park is. It’s a true gem! The outdoor ceremony was really lovely and it was so special getting to be outside in such a beautiful setting. Lauren and Luke were really happy throughout the entire ceremony and it was a pleasure to witness. It was then time for pimms and canapes on the lawn in front of the house. I loved that there were different places for each part of the day. We then headed over to the other field where the giant tipi tent from My Tipi Event looked really fantastic, along with all of the DIY bits Lauren and Luke had been working and crafting hard at. I also loved the ‘til death do us party’ sign from helium balloons and the light up letters from Mobius Events really added the wow factor!
Quick – hide in the tipi
We took some photos in the surrounding fields just before it started chucking it down (I really love the photo of Lauren and Luke running for their life into the tipi haha). It was good timing as everyone was inside ready for food! Spitting Pig Kent provided the delicious dinner and in the evening the Crafty Camper bar showed up to serve cider and beer from their VW. The naked wedding cake was from M&S, which looked really lovely. I didn’t even know M&S did naked cakes!
As I mentioned, music and the party were a big element for Lauren and Luke and Festival Folk were a great addition to the evening, they got the party going and were really fun! They also had DJ Paul Everett who was fab.
Wedding inflatables
Overall it was the most brilliant party and I also loved that there were inflatables ready for people to mess around with. Seriously, we may all be “adults” but I think it’s safe to say we all blinking love a blow up guitar… A million thank yous to Lauren and Luke for letting me capture their special day – I had such a great day with you and will never forget it!
