I love a London wedding venue and Lizzie and Sonny’s super cool wedding at Devonshire Terrace hit the spot! They also had their wedding ceremony at Christ Church Spitalfields, which was an absolute dream to photograph in. It’s a truly amazing space.
Getting ready, eating pastries and beautiful dresses
Lizzie got ready with her bridesmaid crew and family at an Airbnb nearby while Sonny got ready at home at their flat along with his groomsmen. The morning was super chilled with hair and make-up being done, lots of chatting, and of course coffee and breakfast pastries! Lizzie’s dress from Enzonia was insane and looked amazing! And the veil too! Sonny and the boys also all looked really dapper in their tuxedos.
A Beautiful London Cermeony
The ceremony was so special and quite emotional – there were definitely tissues needed. One of my favourite photos is Lizzie and Sonny punching their fists in the air after just being announced husband and wife. They look so happy and I just love it! The Ceremony at Christchurch spitafields was truly special. The ceilings of the church are huge and the whole space is incredible. We then all cheered and threw confetti out on the steps of the church which was amazing! And what a way to exit! We managed to do a few quick group photos with family and the bridal party on the steps before everyone jumped on the red routemaster London bus to take us on to the reception. The bridesmaids all looked stunning in navy blue dresses with classic roses and eucalyptus in their bouquets.
Beautiful London Wedding
Devonshire Terrace looked fab, I really do love it there. The vibe at this venue is great and the food is delicious. Plus you have really cool spots nearby for photos such as the Gherkin and Leadenhall Market, which we definitely took advantage of and got some really cool shots of Lizzie and Sonny around the city. When we arrived, everyone dived into some prosecco and nibbles before speeches and dinner. Lizzie and Sonny had kept all the details really gorgeous and classic, with lots of greens, creams and golds and the fairy festoon lights really added a special something to the space as well. The speeches were absolutely brilliant, really funny and also a lot of happy tears! There was a lot of cheering, swinging of napkins and roaring laughter.
Let Loose and Party – it’s a London wedding!
The party was a really really good one, again I just love the vibe for a wedding at Devonshire Terrace! I can’t explain it but you’re in the heart of a busy bustling London, you can see the Gherkin building from the roof windows and you could tell everyone was ready to let loose and party hard. It was a super fun night as I’m sure you’ll be able to tell from the photos! Thank you Lizzie and Sonny for entrusting me to be your photographer and capture your wedding at Devonshire Terrace, it was absolutely brilliant!
