Jess and James’ Fun and Relaxed London Cinema Wedding

19th March 2015

From the moment I met Jess and James, I knew their wedding was going to be pretty special. An epic cinema wedding in London? Yes please. They talked me through all their wedding plans, which sounded incredibly fun, unique and personal to them both. Not only that, but when I met them we just clicked. I think we spent almost three hours in the pub on our first meeting!! I got along with them so easily and I felt like I had an instant connection with them and that’s a massive part of Wedding Photography to me — feeling at ease and comfortable with your Photographer is a huge thing. They are such a fun couple and I think you’ll agree that this completely shone throughout their wedding day.

The wedding was also featured over on the brilliant blog, Boho Weddings too! You can read all about how they met and how they planned the wedding in the article here.

Jess started getting ready with the girls in Central London, not too far from Islington…

Just look at that view. London is definitely the best city in the world!

Meanwhile, the boys were having one hell of an epic breakfast at Bill’s in Islington (which do amazing food by the way) and gearing up for the day!

To make full use of the cinema, Jess and James made a short film that starred themselves and many of the guests – they sung ‘Love is an Open Door’ from Frozen — You can see the short film here.

After watching the short film in the cinema, we headed outside to do some shots in front of the epic Screen on the Green, and I had to go into the road and stop the traffic at this point to get everyone in this photo! Luckily there was lots of honks from cars and lots of “WAHEY!” from the wedding party!

Jess and James had the brilliant idea to get everyone to conga down to the restaurant!

Everyone was conga-ing down the street… *da, da, da, da da da!*

We then headed off to do some couple portraits just before dinner…

I’m pretty much fell in love with this little shop we found, as did Jess and James so we headed in for some shots…

Jess and James had their dinner at Cafe Gallipoli in Islington, just down the road from The Screen on the Green. They do THE most delicious Turkish and Mediterranean food! (Can you tell I love food?…)

Speeches are without a doubt, one of my favourite parts of the day. There was lots of laughs and quite a few tears, too…

We then headed over to the Chapel Bar, where the evening party kicked off… oh, and look at that cheese tower! Can you imagine anything more heavenly?

Jess and James decided to add on the super fun photo-booth… I literally love the photo-booth, everyone has so much fun!
