I was so excited when Amy and Jack asked me to capture their enchanting and colourful woodland woodland wedding at The Sadie Centre in Hertfordshire. Unfortunately they had had to postpone due to the pandemic but it was 100% worth the wait and I had the absolute best day with them. It was fun, relaxed, colourful and most importantly such a happy atmosphere all day. Amy and Jack are also both such lovely, kind people and I loved hanging out with them.
Flower Crowns and Trainers
Amy got ready at her parents house, the sun was shining and we all had some breakfast and prosecco out in the garden before getting ready. Amy had her hair down and wavy which looked beautiful along with her flower crown. Charlotte did mays hair and her beautiful make-up was done by Haleigh Maskall Make-Up. While the girls got ready, Jack was at home getting ready with a few friends and family along with their doggo Ollie! Amy looked simply stunning in her dress, which was from Heritage Brides. She also wore vans which I love! Who said wedding shoes have to be heels?!
The perfect venue for an enchanting and colourful woodland wedding
The Sadie Centre is such a beautiful place, with gorgeous woodland for you to have your wedding ceremony. Fleur De Lace decorated the woodland and the venue so beautifully. That rainbow ribbon chandelier is just show stopping! Jack was really emotional as Amy came down the aisle and it was so sweet. I think Amy was really shocked how emotional Jack became. Even the registrar got emotional and had to get her colleague do the rest of the ceremony – which was genuinely a first for me! It was so special and in such a beautiful space. It felt like there was no one else around for miles.
You can never have too much confetti…
I’ve never seen as much confetti as Amy and Jack had and it was just brilliant! You can never have too much confetti and wow, what a moment! It looked incredible and Amy and Jack looked like they had brilliant fun. Pimms was served, there were lots of hugs, catching up with friends and bubbles for the kids. I especially love the photos of Amy with her bridesmaids. And I loved that they were wearing different shades of green – it worked so well! All of the beautiful florals were by The Basement Florist. I loved the mix of different colours and how bright they were.
A stunning yurt for this enchanting and colourful woodland wedding
The stunning yurt was from Funky Monkey Tents and it looked so magical inside too! Enchanted Garden Events ran the whole day seamlessly. Rebecca works with the Sadie Centre making sure the event runs effortlessly and providing wonderful catering services. We had a gorgeous BBQ feast with burgers, sausages in crusty buns, potatoes and salad. There were some brilliant speeches! And even a cardboard cut out version of their dog Ollie (see if you can spot him on the dance floor!)
Pass the pigs…
I loved the festival vibes throughout the day, with all of the bunting and lights, along with the sports day style games like the sack race (SO much fun with only some minor casualties) and the giant Pass the Pigs was also an absolute hit! Amy and Jack had a really lovely first dance, underneath the ribbon chandelier with all of their family and friends joining in towards the end. The party was brilliant and kicked off in style thanks to the peeps over at Disco Nyts who were providing the music, lights and DJ booth with neon lighting! I had the most incredible day with Amy and Jack, thank you both so much for asking me to be your wedding photographer!
