Where do I even begin with Tilly and Bill and their epic Marleybrook House funfair themed wedding wedding! What an amazing day we all had. It was an incredibly special day. Unfortunately Bill had been involved in a serious motorcycle accident a few months before the wedding which meant he was on crutches. He was also using a scooter (which had cans and a Groom sign attached, just love it!) I spoke with Tilly before the wedding and they decided they still wanted to go ahead. Celebrating with their friends and family was so important to them after what Bill had been through. So I think it was extra emotional for Tilly, Bill and everyone else. And a big reminder that we should never take life for granted. Always enjoy these good times with our family and friends.
Here’s what Tilly and Bill had to say…
“I literally cannot get over how amazing those photos are!!! They are so much more than we could have imagined, honestly! We are so, so, SO pleased! I’m so pleased we chose you and got to spend the whole day with you! You were absolutely amazing and such a lovely, natural person!
Sorry for the long email but we just want you to know how thankful we are for you being with us on the most important day of our lives.”
Getting ready for their funfair themed wedding
The girls all got ready at the venue, with Ebony Payne doing their make-up and Soph at Sophistic Hair on hair duties and they all looked fabulous. It was a lovely and relaxed morning. And so lovely to be a part of the moment when Tilly’s dad saw her in her dress for the first time. The ceremony was outside and again it was a really emotional part of the day. Bill’s reaction to seeing Tilly come down the aisle really brought a tear to my eye! There were also so many smiles, it was truly wonderful.
Funfair themed wedding at Marleybrook House
Marleybrook House was beautifully decorated, with little balloons on each table centre piece, ivy on the ceiling, light up Love letters. The yummy cake table was by Jeyda at Jeys Heavenly Events was truly scrumptious (I might have had to taste test some bits ok…) They decided not to have any speeches and instead there was more time for drinks, hugs and also the FUNFAIR!!! Marleybrook House is a wedding venue in Kent with yes, you read right, it’s own private funfair!!
Tilly rode pretty much all the rides, including the roller coaster and sky wheel and was having the best time, as were all the guests. I think the Waltzer is definitely my favourite ride and I also loved the reactions of guests on the Waltzer. There were also the smaller vintage style stalls open like Hook a Duck and Tin Can Alley. We were down here for about 2 hours but it went by SO fast as everyone was having so much fun. Marleybrook House really is a unique venue if you’re looking for something a bit different for your wedding. The dodgems were also brilliant!
Enjoying the rides…
After the funfair everyone was hyped to party. The funfair had been a great way to break up the day before the evening started. Tilly and Bill had a really sweet first dance before inviting everyone else on, and we all had such a great time on the dancefloor! Thank you so much Tilly and Bill for asking me to be your photographer at your Marleybrook House wedding, I had the best time!
