FAQ’S

CAN WE MEET YOU?

Of course! I really love to meet with couples before they book me. It gives us a chance to have a proper chat, either over tea and cake or some people want to meet at a local pub or bar, which is totally cool too. I’m always game for tea/cake/beer/wine or whatever you fancy!

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU’RE ILL ON THE DAY

I would have to be seriously ill to miss your wedding day, but please be assured that I would always endeavor to find another photographer for you. I have a wonderful circle of talented photographer friends who I would call to for help in an emergency. I’m also part of the Emergency Wedding Photographers Club which has over 3,000 members.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE WEDDING?

Once I get home from shooting your wedding, I back up all your lovely photos, grab a cuppa and get to work on them. Going back through all the photos makes me so happy and I’m always buzzing to show you a little sneak peak so I’ll always send you a preview of 10-15 photos within a week. You’ll receive the rest of the images in an online gallery within 6-8 weeks after the wedding.

ARE YOU INSURED?

Yes! I have both public liability and professional indemnity insurance.

DO YOU EDIT OUR PHOTOS

I go through and pick all of the awesome shots I know you’ll love and edit them. This involves basic color correction, cropping, tweaking the exposure. I want all of my images to look bright, vibrant and colorful so this is exactly what I do afterwards. I don’t do any ‘photoshopping’ so to speak, I believe people look great as they are.

WILL YOU TRAVEL FOR OUR WEDDING

Oh man yes! I absolutely love to travel and have photographed weddings all over the UK as well as America, Ireland, France and Greece. Hit me up for bespoke destination pricing.

HOW MANY IMAGES WILL WE RECEIVE?

You’ll receive a minimum of 500 photos. I never limit the amount of photos I give over. A lot of the time it is usually around the 700-800 mark. I love to give over as many kick ass images as I can!

DO YOU CARRY BACK UP EQUIPMENT

I always make sure I carry two cameras and a selection of lenses with me on the day in case anything happens or malfunctions. Another amazing thing is that the cameras I sue have dual card slots, which means I have an instant back up while I’m photographing. I’ve been using dual slots for a couple of years now and I still can’t get over how cool that is. That definitely puts my mind at rest. Should one of the cards corrupt, I have a backup. Thank you Canon!

CAN YOU DO A VIDEO FOR US

Heck yes. I absolutely love shooting videos and it goes hand in hand with what I already do as a photographer. I’m able to produce a beautiful highlight film, around 3-5 minuets long set to fully licensed music. Head to my pricing page for more info or click here to see some of my video work.

I CAN SEE YOU OFFER A PRE-WEDDING SHOOT IN YOUR PACKAGES. WE’RE NOT KEEN ON HAVING OUR PHOTO TAKEN AT ALL. CAN YOU TELL US MORE ABOUT IT?

I’ve gotta say, most of my couples who book with me really don’t like having their photo taken, or feel a bit awkward about photos. So it’s perfectly normal when people say they aren’t too keen on the idea of a pre-wedding shoot. I completely understand – I’m the same when someone points a camera at me! However, it really is a great thing to do. It helps us get to know each other better, you get to see what I’m like with the camera and you get some beautiful fun photos to cherish. It is really important to me that you feel relaxed and comfortable by the time the wedding comes around. I don’t want to feel like a stranger showing up on the wedding day, so that’s why it’s always great to meet up for lunch and do the pre-wedding shoot. Some people want to meet in the pub first, so don’t worry we can always have a bit of liquid courage first!

DO YOU DO GROUP PHOTOS?

Your wedding photos wouldn’t be complete without a few shots of you with your nearest and dearest. My style is very natural and fun, so don’t worry, we’ll always make these smiley and awesome. I usually advise around 5-10 group photos, so you don’t have to miss too much of your party and i can get back to doing what i do best – capturing all the natural moments.

HOW LONG WILL YOU BE THERE FOR ON THE WEDDING DAY

For full day coverage I don’t put a time limit on the amount of hours included. I normally arrive a couple of hours before the ceremony to capture the bridal preparations. And don’t worry, this isn’t thousands of photos of you having make up put on, it’s all about the exciting and emotional moments that happen during the morning. I usually then stay through until an hour or two after the first dance as I love capturing the party and all those crazy epic dance moves!

WE’D LOOK TO BOOK YOU! HOW DO WE CONFIRM?

Amazing! Shoot me an email and I’ll give you all the next steps. I’m currently taking a 30% deposit to secure dates and you’ll also need to fill out a quick booking form and sign my contract. This is all done online so it’s nice and simple!
